I remember this day... I stood there in my corset and victorian dress soaked with murky water and soot (I work when I reenact). As I looked out over the sea and into the Amelia Sound all I could think was how perfect Florida could be, and how comforting this veiw must have been for Civil War soldiers in 1864...
